I think that video games are one of the best inventions. They provide entertainment for the consumer, and the companies that makes the video games make a lot of money. For example; Grand Theft Auto 5 made over a billion dollars in sales, However it cost almost $265 million to produce. A billion dollars is a lot of money and proves that Rockstar ( The company that made GTA) profited almost $735 million dollars. Therefore video games are a very successful industry and companies should continue to produce video games for years to come.
In my opinion I think that video games are a complete waste of time. I think this because it interferes with peoples school work/job. When people play on their gaming system they often forget about their homework because they're to distracted with the game they are playing. People should limit their time when playing on the system so that they would actually have time to study and do good in school/job. In my opinion video games could help you take your mind off of things! People tend to play video games when they're stressed or they have something bothering them. Video games such as; 2k14 could help, because people mostly play basketball when they're stressed to cool themselves down. 2k14 is a basketball game. I play it sometimes when I'm mad, and it helps. Either than taking a walk, video games are relaxing and relieving. Video games could have their pros and cons to them, cons are; you're getting distracted from doing things and from holding the controller to long it hardens your skin since you've been holding your fingers or thumbs in one position. In my opinion video games are the best because it fun and interactive. To make a video game meet these standards it will need good graphics and a good storyline because if you just get a video game with good graphics but not with a good storyline it's praticly nothing. But in my opinion if you get both that will be a game I will favour for the rest of my life. If someone says video games are bad for you or they don't like video games tell them to speak to the creator of GTA 5. It takes alot of work to produce a very detailed video game, you need designers, artists, programers, etc. Mincraft, COD, God of War are some of the games that could change the world forever, in a good way.

In my opinion video games are a wast of time because we as people can do so much else than keep our eyes on a tv screen or on a computer screen for hours a day propbly shooting somebody or beating somebody in a race with cars. When most people play violent games like call of duty or grand theft auto they think whatever is i n the game is okey and can do the samething in real life, and that is why most of the average teenagers are showing violent behaviors like slamming doors, arguing, screaming, and just disrespecting people in any sort of way. other problem is that kids are just lying down on the couch all day not doing anything but gaining weight, becoming to lazy to anything and drinking junk food. These symtoms mostly happen in the summer because kids are home from schoool the whole day mostly alone with no supervision or somebody telling them what to do and what not , so might as well open one or 3 pop cans and get some chips out and play for a couple or 4 hours. I'm not saying that all games are bad for kids like minecraft which teaches kids how to build things and tests their level of creativity and teaches kids how to farm, rase animals, build homes, and how to live a daily life. In conclussion kids should get out and do more activities than sit on the couch for hours, i'm not saying that kids shouldnt play video games, but just to control what they are playing and for how long they are playing
